The Redskins were a 1980s English band, notable for their left-wing politics and catchy, danceable songs. Their music combined influences from soulrockabillypop and punk rock.

Sham 69 was an English punk band that formed in Hersham in 1976
.Although not as commercially successful as many of their contemporaries, albeit with a greater number of chart entries, Sham 69 has been a huge musical and lyrical influence on the Oi! and streetpunk genres. The band allegedly derived their name from a piece of graffiti that founderJimmy Pursey saw on a wall. It originally said Walton and Hersham '69 but had partly faded away, and made reference to when Walton & Hersham F.C. secured the Athenian League title in 1969

Dropkick Murphys are an American Celtic punk band formed in Quincy, Massachusetts in 1996. The band was initially signed to independent punk record label Hellcat Records, releasing five albums for the label, and making a name for themselves locally through constant playing and yearly St. Patrick's Day week shows, held in and around Boston. The bands final independent release, 2005's The Warrior's Code, featured two charting singles, Tessie, which was recorded for theBoston Red Sox to be played after home game wins, and I'm Shipping Up to Boston, which was featured in the Academy Award winning movie The Departed. In 2007 the band signed with Warner Bros. Records, and have seen each of their subsequent albums, The Meanest of Times and Going Out In Style, chart in the Billboard top 20.

The Oppressed is a Welsh anti-fascist Oi! band that formed in 1981 in Cardiff. Most of the musicians in the band's various lineups were skinheads. Throughout the band's career, the members (especially vocalist Roddy Moreno) openly expressed opposition to racism and fascism — in their lyrics, interviews, on-stage comments and other actions. In 1989, Moreno visited New York City and met many members of Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice (SHARP). On his return to the United Kingdom, he started promoting SHARP ideals to British skinheads.[1][2] The band has also had ties to other anti-racist groups, such as Anti-Fascist Action. Moreno is a Cardiff City F.C. supporter, and some of the band's songs express that support.
